“We are looking for short stories and poems that celebrate the triumph of the human spirit, that raise up the humanity of man and we want you to be part of this amazing project. All profits from the sale of this book will be donated to the AMAR Foundation. AMAR is an award-winning charity that works in the Middle East to help millions rebuild their lives in countries scarred by war. We couldn't think of a more worthy recipient of the money from a book dedicated to the core values of friendship, love and tolerance.” This is part of the announcement I came across on social media. I didn’t take too much time to think. Actually it was an immediate reaction to apply and submit some of my work for this project. Few months later I was thrilled when I found out that two of my short stories were selected to be a part of the anthology. I don’t have enough words to describe how good it felt. Yes, it is in one way a recognition for my work, but in the same time it is so much inline with the purpose of my writing. Through my blog, the one-on-one communication with people and even through my novels I aim to make a difference. I am aware that I am only a human being and have limited time, power and energy, but I am glad of any tiny difference I can make in this world. I also know that I am not the only one and knowing this helps me overcome the moments when I feel I wished to do much more. If only my day would have 48 hours, if only…... The writers and poets participating in this project lead by McGrath publishing house gave their unselfish contribution. Even if you aren’t a writer you can contribute as well. Even if you aren’t an avid reader you can still contribute. You can either purchase the e-book or paperback or you can share the information among your friends, on your social media, be part of the chain of helping people, be the extending hand. The possibilities are limitless. Whatever good you are doing in helping others, even if not directly related to this project will surely make a difference. Be good, do good and it shall all return to you as I believe there is a special kind of balance in this world. With love, hope and tolerance the possibilities are LIMITLESS. Available in pre-order now at Amazon.
