People love to read. Yes, they/we still do :-).
People read reviews before purchasing a book. Yes, quite often. Do people love to post reviews? Rarely. When I was only a reader I didn't know how important is to write my opinion when I liked a book so that others could pick it up too. As an author, I can tell you that reviews are bloody important. Luckily there are now people that are so much aware of the hard work put in a book and the necessity of a review. People like Leonard Tillerman (Author, Book Blogger, Book Reviewer) are rare (or at least I didn't come across them yet), and I have only big words for his dedication. Below is his review for my debut novel "Magnetic Reverie", which I post in here not because it is 5 stars, but because he is such a great writer too and I am proud of this review. You don't have to be such a master with words when you write a review, it is enough to write just a few simple sentences: I liked it, I loved it, I enjoyed it, etc. Just do it and you will bring a smile on the author's face and help a reader find its next read.

You walk out of sight,
Your feet barely touch the ground. I look at you, I yell, I scream, But you don’t hear, Don’t answer, Don’t stop. “I can’t take it anymore.
I feel awful. I think I am going crazy. There is no help for me. My life has no meaning.” You may think I am crazy for trying to make such an analogy. Let me explain to you how I came to this. First of all, I am a vegetarian.
“We are looking for short stories and poems that celebrate the triumph of the human spirit, that raise up the humanity of man and we want you to be part of this amazing project. All profits from the sale of this book will be donated to the AMAR Foundation. AMAR is an award-winning charity that works in the Middle East to help millions rebuild their lives in countries scarred by war. We couldn't think of a more worthy recipient of the money from a book dedicated to the core values of friendship, love and tolerance.”
